It’s about people.About the RoleThe Metropolitan Region manages the day-to-day condition and ongoing development of Main Roads network and assets within the Perth Metropolitan area, providing safe and efficient road access for the community.As a Technical Traffic Management Planner, you will play a critical role in facilitating the development and maintenance of effective Traffic Management processes to ensure the most suitable solution for the Metropolitan Network.You will also be required to carry out and review audits/inspections of Traffic Management at incidents and worksites and provide technical advice to improve compliance and conformity with Main Roads Traffic management standards.Working collaboratively across the Metropolitan Region and the organisation to achieve outcomes will also be an integral part of this role.About YouWe are seeking an organised, motivated, and driven individual with experience in a similar role. You will need to have strong experience in Traffic Management contingency planning for incidents and emergency situations and have experience developing Traffic Management plans for safe and efficient traffic flow at incidents and worksites. - A statement outlining your considerable skill, knowledge and experience in the following three (3) criteria in no more than three (3) pages:
- Preparing Traffic Management Plans and Traffic Guidance Schemes for planned works on the Metropolitan and Regional networks
- Developing comprehensive risk identification and assessment including suitable risk treatments for planned works, unplanned incidents or emergency situations
- Preparing traffic investigations and intersection/traffic volume analysis.
- A copy of your current Western Australian motor vehicle (car) Driver’s Licence or approved equivalent
- Evidence of a current Advanced Worksite Traffic Management (AWTM) accreditation.
- If applicable to you (not mandatory), a copy of your Diploma or Degree in Engineering or other relevant discipline.
