Your Opportunity 

As a Technical Trainer you will be reporting to the Senior Manager P147 Training. You will be responsible for the day-to-day implementation of the training and assessment activities across Jet Aviation sustainment programs. Specifically, training and assessment activities will be within DASR 145 quality management systems, as well as business improvement activities

Your Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: 
  • Deliver internal training courses to Jet Aviation employees.
  • Assessing the competence of Jet Aviation employees in accordance with established Training and Assessment strategies.
  • Accurately completing training records in accordance with established procedures. 
  • Reporting training and assessment outcomes in accordance with established procedures.
  • Provide trainer & assessor oversight where Subject Matter Experts (without training qualifications) are assisting to coach and mentor candidates during their On-Job-Training
  • Design and administer part 145 and 147 training packages. 
  • Assist in the oversight of company trainees to monitor their progress against the agreed training plan.
  • Carry out any other duties assigned to you as may be reasonably directed by the Senior Manager P147 Training.

What will help you succeed?
  • Certificate II in Aircraft Line Maintenance (MEA20518) is required 
  • Certificate IV Aeroskills (Mechanical/Avionics) is desirable 
  • Certificate IV Training & Assessment or TAESS00021 - Facilitation Skill Set would be an advantage
  • Previous experience on PC-21, PT6A Turbo-Prop Engine and/or ‘glass cockpit’ aircraft is desirable.
  • Ability to receive training by an OEM endorsed organisation.
  • Meet the requirements of attaining security clearance at RAAF Base.
  • Knowledge of the DASA Regulations.
  • Knowledge of OH&S and Environment requirements.
  • Excellent communications, customer service and people skills 
  • Experience in a Customer Focused Work environment with multiple priorities and project deadlines
  • Ability to work flexible schedules and in various weather conditions as well as meeting. minimum physical requirements of the job
