About the role:
SPX AtoN are seeking an experienced Technical Writer to meet the increasing global demand for our products. Facilitate the needs of our development projects and existing by collaborating with subject matter experts to create our technical documentation.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Work with internal product and product teams to understand product and training documentation requirements.
- Create strong content that fulfils company standards and production audience goals.
- Write straightforward and comprehensive user manuals, data sheets, work instructions, diagrams, and training manuals.
- Manage technical documentation process through planning, developing, organizing, writing, and editing technical literature.
- Analyse current content to maintain continuity and suggest make improvements as necessary
Skills and experience
- Degree in Engineering, or equivalent preferred
- Proven experience working in a technical writing position
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Able to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences
