About the role
We are partnering one of Australia’s leading resources companies, to secure the services of an experienced Technical Writer (specialising in Electrical Maintenance) for a Perth based position in their | Fixed Plant & Infrastructure GTS (Functional Safety) team.

This role will be required to:

• Develop digitalised Standard Work Instructions (SWI) and Maintenance Work Lists.
• Develop troubleshooting guide / work instructions for Safety Functions recovery / bypass.
• Develop troubleshooting guide / work instructions for components changeout.
• Editing and revising Engineering safety related documentations to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
• Work collaboratively with plant SMEs to gather technical information from site assets and lead the review and approval process for all site technical.
• Research technical information relating to the development of detailed step by step instructions for the maintenance and operation of plant and equipment.
• Working with the engineering and maintenance team, you will collaborate closely with engineers and technicians to ensure documentation is comprehensive and accurate, and meeting client requirements.
• Translating intricate technical details into user-friendly language for diverse audiences.

You will require the following: 

• Experience in Technical Writing within Engineering and Maintenance environment.
• Minimum 2 Years of electrical and/or electrical maintenance technical writing.
• Can either be an Engineer or Technician with experience or both.
• Electrical and/or Electrical Maintenance background.
• Understanding of Functional Safety.
• Commitment to producing high quality documentations.
• Very strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent interpersonal skills. 
• Self-motivated and eager to learn. 
• High Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and ability to learn new systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
