Technical Writer – Initial contract until end of September 2024
Are you interested in joining an organisation dedicated to providing services to individuals and communities in remote regions? Our client is a well-respected entity with exciting upcoming projects, and they are currently seeking a Technical Writer to join their Melbourne office.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Developing comprehensive documentation that meets the client’s and the M2C Project standards.
Write user-friendly content, including system screen shots and referencing material, which meets the needs of target audience, turning insights into language for user success.
Collaborating with the Change Analysts, Business Analysts, Testing team and Vendor to gain understanding of the Retail Meter Data System, Utilities market and system requirements.
Gather information from key stakeholders to develop, organise and write procedure manuals, work instructions, technical specifications, document process maps etc.
The role will start end of February and be offered as an initial contract until the end of September 2024 with a flexible hybrid WFH agreement. There will also be a requirement to travel to Darwin with the rest of the team for 1 week every month, though all costs and allowances are covered.
The skills/experience needed will include but not be limited to:
Previous experience in Technical Writing role related to M2C / Billing systems.
Experience within a utility environment.
Proven track record in writing procedure manuals, work instructions, technical specifications etc. in readiness for project go-live.
Strong written and verbal communication skills when engaging with key business stakeholders.
