In this role, you'll:
Work as part of the Network Growth Portfolio (NGP) team within the Strategy, Portfolio and Investment division of Sydney Trains. NGP support large-scale projects that will help meet customer demands for a sustainable, safe, multimodal transport system.
This role will see you developing documentation to support the implementation of the European Train control System Level 2 to Sydney Trains. This is a brownfields integration project, with some of the equipment already installed and at system integration testing and the early stages of testing the systems functionality.
You will be involved in interpreting technical engineering documents and positioning them to make them understandable for our end users – who will include train drivers, guards as well as our front-line engineering and maintenance branch.
This will see you spread your time between meetings, workshops, developing documents and bringing overall due diligence to this Digital Systems project. This technology-based change, will see you take technical content and turn it into business content.

About you
Your experience will include working in a highly industrialised unionised working environment and ideally include an understanding or experience in a rail operation environment.
Your recognised as being able to work autonomously and with challenging stakeholder groups and able to run information requirements sessions and write business procedures.
As a result, you are someone with experience in reviewing and developing business processes and procedures within a complex operating environment.
This is a Temporary Fixed Term Full-Time Award RC6 role for up to 8 months based at Burwood, with flexibility through our cutting-edge hybrid working model!
