Technician

Seeking a Technician 

Due to continued growth we are seeking a reliable, polite and well spoken person with technical knowledge.  

The role will be varied and include construction site installation of cabling and systems, servicing and maintenance of Nurse Call Systems within Hospitals and Aged Care Facilities throughout South Australia.

The role would suit an experienced Data Technician or a Security Technician that has a good understanding of Electronics, however this is not essential as full training on the Austco Nurse Call System will be provided. This is a great   opportunity to work along side some skilled and knowledgeable people. 

MCS perform in house Research & Development and have developed an Android App for messaging of critical alerts over Wi-Fi directly to staff including the development and use of SIP technology.   

There are no formal qualifications required 

Applicants must be willing to adhere to SA Health requirements with reference to any mandated vaccinations, current and future including the wearing of any PPE as required for entering Hospitals and Aged care facilities.

Tasks will include but are not limited to:

• Attending Hospitals and Aged care facilities throughout SA including country locations
• Installation of data cabling adhering to relevant Standards 
• Servicing, fault finding and repair of Nurse Call Systems
• Routine Maintenance of installed systems 
• Documenting results from Service and maintenance visits   
• Liaising with Hospital's Facility Management Service personnel 
• Liaising with Aged Care Facilities and their Maintenance teams 

Favourable Attributes:

• Electronics, an understanding of the basic fundamentals 
• Knowledge of Networking / IT Fundamentals 
• Security System programming / installation
• Wi-Fi System installation / configuration
• AV System installation / configuration
• Android App development
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Software applications
• Neat and legible handwriting 

Mandatory Attributes:

• Open cabling license
• Current SA Drivers License (ability to drive a manual vehicle an advantage) 
• Eligibility to obtain a Police Clearance for the following 2 points
• Able to obtain a Working with Vulnerable Persons Clearance  
• Able to obtain a Working with Children Clearance 
• Be vaccinated as required and including following all guidelines set by SA Health as a requirement for entering SA Hospitals or Aged Care facilities covering Covid & Influenza and any other communicable diseases in the future
