About the business and the role

Our company services, maintains and installs smoke alarms in residential rental properties.  We have full-time smoke alarm technician and electrician roles on the Gold Coast and in the greater Brisbane area for those looking for permanency in a secure industry.

Job tasks and responsibilities

Your role would be to install, replace and service smoke alarms in residential rental properties.  You will also be trained in other aspects of rental property compliance. Every day will be different as you visit homes across your region. Wherever possible your work will be in areas close to where you live.   Our office is based in Banyo, but you will go directly from home each day to your first job, without the need to come in to the office very often.  

Skills and experience

Our standards are high, and to be considered for one of these positions you will need the following attributes:

  • You will require a current full drivers license and be willing and able to obtain a current National Police Check.
  • Electricians will be required to have a Qld Electrical Worker's Licence.
  • You will take pride in your appearance, being well-presented at all times.
  • You will have a total commitment to excellence in customer service, with a can-do attitude and a willingness to go the extra mile for our clients.
  • You will have excellent communication skills, have a sense of urgency about everything that you do and possess great attention to detail.
  • You must be self-motivated, with the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • You will need to be competent using mobile phone and tablet technology and have email access and printer at home.
  • You must be healthy and physically fit;
  • Prior experience in the smoke alarm servicing industry would be an advantage, but not necessary.  We will provide you full, comprehensive  training in all aspects of the position.

We will provide you with an excellent remuneration package, a fully maintained vehicle, tools of trade, uniform shirts and mobile telephone.  These roles will suit applicants looking for stable and secure employment in a clean environment and the simplicity of specialising in one aspect of residential work.  We work 40 hours per week between 8.30am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday. An immediate start is available for the successful candidates.
