About the role
Reporting to the Technology PMO, the role provides project management for several internal Technology Projects. Strong organisational and communication skills are essential for engaging end-users, stakeholders, and contractors. Responsibilities include overseeing project delivery, managing budgets, defining scope, and adhering to schedules. This role ensures successful project outcomes through the entire lifecycle and maintains high stakeholder engagement.

Additionally, this role emphasises teamwork, communication, safety and ensuring that the company’s technology systems are governed, maintained and functional.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop project plans: scope, objectives, timelines, resources, and budgets.
  • Manage project lifecycles, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
  • Identify, document and resolve project risks and issues.
  • Engage and communicate regularly with end-users, stakeholders, and contractors.
  • Facilitate project meetings and updates.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, tracking and reporting expenses.
  • Address stakeholder concerns and allocate resources efficiently.
  • Ensure deliverables meet quality standards.
  • Maintain project documentation.
  • Foster team collaboration and support team member development.
  • Implement technology policies and ensure compliance.
  
Experience and Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree; or equivalent work experience
  • Relevant project management qualifications e.g. PRINC2, PMP
  • 3-5 years of project management experience, specifically in managing technology infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Ability to bridge business requirements and technical implementation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with multi-project management.
  • Effective stakeholder engagement and management.
  • Team player in an integrated environment.
  • Self-motivated and a problem solver
  • Ability to travel to other Southern Ports locations (Albany, Bunbury, Esperance, and Perth)

Requirements
  
To be eligible for this 2-year fixed term full-time role, applicants must provide proof of Australian citizenship or permanent residency and reside in Perth, WA.
  
The successful applicant must have a current WA driver’s licence, be able to obtain and maintain a Maritime Security Access Card and undergo a pre-employment medical assessment including drug and alcohol testing.
