We are looking for a Project Manager to lead a broad and exciting range of new Mining Technology & Innovation initiatives that connect our Integrated HIVE Control centre with our Mining operations in the Pilbara. The role will focus on the identification, scoping and delivery of capital initiatives that align with our HIVE vision of continuously evolving towards a Highly Integrated, Highly Automated, Net Zero Operation.
The role will require an individual capable of operating across a large stakeholder group, comprised of diverse technical and operational teams that all need to collectively align and support initiatives that deliver both strategic and tactical value aligned to our vision.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, understand and analyse Project requirements.
- Develop, maintain & manage project objectives, scope, timelines, funding, and staffing.
- Set and track project milestones; manage unforeseen delays, realign schedules and expectations as needed.
- Establish and implement project communication plans, providing status updates to affected staff and stakeholders.
- Help design, document and maintain system and delivery processes.
- Assign duties and responsibilities and oversees workflow of project.
- Manage deliverables and coordinate release effectively.
- Be the point of contact for external communications (e.g. from customers or stakeholders).
- Work with cross functional team to enable and oversee project success.
- Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles that occur.
- Help teams implement changes effectively & ensure deliverables are up to quality standards.
- Help build a productive environment where team members 'own' the product and enjoy working on it.
Qualifications and Experience
- Ability to operate with a large degree of autonomy. The role is required to effectively manage and prioritise a large portfolio of work.
- Able to effectively break down and synthesis complexity into pragmatic and simplistic direction.
- Capable of effectively and succinctly communicating opportunities with clear, substantiated recommendations.
- At least 10+ years hands-on experience with managing people, deliverables and scope.
- 5+ years' operational experience in a mining environment.
- Thorough understanding of project management principles with a formal degree in Project Management Highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to motivate groups of people to complete a project in a timely manner.
- Experience in analysing data to draw business-relevant conclusions and in data visualization techniques and tools.
