Telecommunication Technician

CPS Technology & Infrastructure are seeking experienced Telecommunication Technicians with strong RAN & radio equipment installation, commissioning and troubleshooting skills to join our team in Sydney.

The candidate will need to meet the following requirements:

Experience with VHA/TPG & Optus specifications, standards and HSE guidelines

Able to read and interpret technical design documents (plumbing diagrams), and implement/install equipment as per design, as well as being competent in troubleshooting

Experience in Installs, maintaining, repairs and diagnoses malfunctions of wave communication systems.

Experience working on Telstra, VHA/TPG and Optus (4G/5G)

Experience working with Huawei/Ericsson/Nokia equipment

Installation and commissioning of Base Station & Radio equipment, RF feeder & hybrid and associated optical tails / fibre management trays, etc.

Installation of Earthing and labelling following client’s specification

Perform testing using PIM tester, spectrum analyser and site master

Perform testing with Fibrescope and light source on fibre cables

Ability to liaise with RIC team to integrate and troubleshoot

Carry out post integration call tests to verify cell configurations, hand off parameters and call quality

Able to technically assist riggers on-site

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years’ demonstrated experience in the telecommunication industry.

Sound understanding of WHS requirements and responsibilities - including SWMS, MOP, JSA's

Excellent written & oral communications skills

Appropriately skilled with MS applications including excel and word

Must be permitted to work in Australia

Australian driver's license

RADHAZ Awareness

First aid & CPR

This role is based in Sydney with an average salary of $70,000 to $90,000 + superannuation per year.
