We are looking for a hardworking and attentive full-time trainee to join our team! Your main responsibility will be installing Fibre Optic cables from out on the street to inside customer homes.

Responsibilities

• Set up service for customers, installing, connecting, testing or adjusting equipment
• Travel to customers' premises to install, maintain or repair equipment
• Splice Fibre Optic cables, using hand tools, epoxy or mechanical equipment
• Access specific areas using ladders and entering crawl spaces
• String cables between structures and lines from poles, towers or trenches and pull lines to proper tension
• Lay underground cable directly in trenches or string it through conduits running through trenches
• Pull cable through ducts by hand.

About you

You will play a vital role in supporting the team to deliver exceptional solutions to our clients, with the ability to efficiently complete onsite jobs. You will be able to manage and organise tasks as required under pressure, including:

• Currently undertaking or willing to complete Certificate III in Telecommunications Technology
• Excellent written and verbal English skills (essential)
• Valid P, P1/2 or Open Manual Driver Licence with own vehicle (essential)
• Construction Industry OHS Card (essential)
• Willing to complete a National Police Check (essential)
• Experience in hand and power tools
• A confident approach to working at heights and in roof spaces
• Hardworking, accountable and punctual
• Working at heights and in roof spaces card 
• Willing to complete other tasks from time to time.
