The Role
We are currently seeking a Terminal Operator to be based at our Port Kembla Terminal. You will have a strong work ethic, be process driven and focused on safety & compliance, customer service, procedures & training, teamwork, and business improvement.
The Terminal Operator’s primary objectives are to:
- Work in a team to ensure the safe and efficient transfer of products through the terminal
- Provide support to the Operations Supervisor during bunkering activities (pipeline and road).
- Support the business to ensure all port security and personal access requirements are adhered to.
- Ensure tanker loading and unloading activities are conducted in a safe and efficient manner by all drivers on site
- Support the completion of the Mex preventative maintenance schedule.
- Provide support to the Shore Officer during shipping activities.
- Carry out project tasks and the maintenance of plant and equipment under the Park Permit to Work (PTW) system.
- Ensure that Environment Protection Authority (EPA) site licence requirements are met through the implementation of site water management and sampling procedures.
- Conduct “Take 5’s” and “Supervised Loading Observations”.
- Ensure effective Emergency Response capability, through participation in simulation exercises and staff training.

Preferred:
- Technical knowledge of Terminal or Plant operations and procedures
- Trade qualifications
- Exposure to environmental management systems and processes
