An insight to the role
- We have an opportunity for a talented and driven ag focused person to join our sales team, tasked with continuing the great relationships and strong performing region currently in the Gippsland region.
- Our highly motivated, supportive and experienced Regional Sales Manager will provide coaching, training and development in all facets required to be successful in the role
- You’ll bring a high level of energy, a willing and engaging attitude and aptitude for learning to apply this knowledge and build your personal brand as the Datamars go to person in your region
- Your day and week will involve managing a planned call cycle, travelling most days, including some overnight travel during parts of the 6 week call cycle plan, meeting with customers, both existing rural retail accounts and customers on farm
- You are someone that has grown up in and around the ag sector, ideally livestock farming! We’re all about advancing agritech & providing our farming community with solutions that help them make better informed business decisions
- Creating sales opportunities, securing business and striving to achieve sales targets and budgets
- When you visit the stores, you’ll build on exceptional relationships with the team and regularly conduct instore product training to ensure the team understand the features and benefits of our extensive range
- Being out and about, in your farming community, forming relationships, building your knowledge, you’ll also represent Datamars at various Field Days and industry events
- You’ll be accountable for tracking your weekly progress and generating reports through Salesforce CRM
- You’ll also be part of a highly successful, supportive and welcoming national sales team who will be there to share in the challenges and provide help and advice
What you’ll bring to the role
- A great attitude: high levels of energy, motivation, dedication and drive to succeed
- You are someone that lives, breathes and loves the agriculture sector! Knowledge of livestock including sheep & cattle is ideal
- Territory management and sales experience, along with knowledge of some of our product categories or similar, would be hugely beneficial – we are also open to considering Grads
- An aptitude and willingness to learn, receive coaching, take on feedback, progress yourself personally and professionally
- Strategic in your thinking – open to new ideas and able to think laterally and outside the norm
- Excellent conversationalist and ability to build rapport, adapt your style to suit your audience and develop relationships
- Organised; happy to work autonomously and someone that remains level headed in challenging situations
- Computer literate – comfortable with constructing professional emails and learning how to use Salesforce (CRM) and different software and reporting requirements

The ideal location for someone to be living is in and around Gippsland. You’ll be set up with everything you need to work from a home-based office and will work closely with our Regional Sales Manager who will provide direction, coaching and support to set you up for success and apply your expertise to get on and deliver.
