We are searching for a Territory Sales Manager to join our Valley Irrigation Australia division on a Full Time Basis. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for executing successful sales strategies by demonstrating consistent sales excellence across new and existing accounts.
While your main activities will be around providing technical sales support to the dealers and developing the dealer network, you will also be asked to help grow and develop other areas of the business such as Pump & Power and Valley Technology initiatives. You will lead the way in developing key relationships that will lead our customers to invest with Valley Irrigation Australia.

How you will contribute
- Delivering budgeted sales levels for the assigned territory.
- Manage the relationship with the dealer network and end customers, through regular engagements and regional visits.
- Provide technical sales support to the dealers in your region. Regularly update dealer’s pipeline, present and maintain quotes in a professional and timely manner.
- Networking: the goal is to establish and maintain the Valley Irrigation brand by building and leveraging industry relationships.
- Identify and execute sales plans for new and existing customers.
- Deep understanding of your market and ability to present regional forecasts.
- Achieve revenue and profit targets for designated segments and customers.
- Effective use of Salesforce, Excel and Valley Irrigation platforms.
- Identify and execute business opportunities for the Pump & Power division.
- Identify and execute growth strategies and business opportunities to upsell Valley Technology products and services.
About you
Valley Irrigation Australia is looking for a driven and experienced professional with a background in agronomy / agriculture and an understanding of the needs of rural communities and farmers. We are looking for a team player who is invested in the business and looking for a long-term career, with a genuine passion for contributing to and achieving team objectives. This, alongside value-selling skills, will ensure your ability to establish credibility with, and articulate the value of the organisation's offering to the customer base.
The ideal candidate will also:
- Be persistent, self-motivated, enjoy a challenge and is capable of managing multiple, simultaneous priorities.
- Have excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to call planning, account management and business development.
- Be willing to travel up to 50% of the time to visit dealers and farmers (most of the travel will require overnight stays and at times travelling over weekends).
- Have proven experience with value added selling and the ability to use sound judgment in decisions in order to gain customer satisfaction, while at the same time protecting the company interests.
Although not essential, relevant qualifications such as a Bachelor of Agricultural Science will be highly regarded.
