Are you ready to join a dynamic team at the forefront of innovation in the Global Energy sector? We have exciting opportunities for multiple Embedded Test Engineers based in the Eastern Metropolitan Perth area. These positions offer six-month contracts with the potential for extension or transition into full-time roles.

  1. Test Engineer – User Interface (Rail)
  2. Test Engineer – Data Management & Networking (Rail)
  3. Embedded Test Engineer (Rail)
  4. Controls Test Engineer (Rail)

As an Embedded Test Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to drive the improvement of product quality by following V-Model principles and applying integration, verification, validation, and test principles based on product requirements and team deliverables. You will create and execute test suites/plans through user or automated testing to ensure the reliability and functionality of our products.

Key Duties:

  • Apply integration, verification, validation, and test principles based on product requirements.
  • Create and execute test suites/plans through user or automated testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and reliability.

Skills and Qualifications Required:

  • Experience in software testing, preferably for real-time and distributed systems in industrial applications (mining, marine, rail, automotive).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronic, Electrical, or Software Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Experience with V-Model development is highly advantageous.
  • Familiarity with requirement management tools (i.e., IBM DOORS, Siemens Polarion) is highly advantageous.
  • Knowledge of software architecture design in redundant distributed systems.
  • Understanding of network communications and protocols.
  • Experience in testing software deployment strategies.
  • Familiarity with operating systems deployed in industrial edge computing (i.e., QNX, SafeRTOS, Linux, etc.).
  • Understanding of the full software development life cycle (documentation, requirements, testing, deployment, and traceability).
  • Experience with software version control systems such as Git or SVN is essential.
