Your Team
You will be part of a multi-disciplinary technology team, that works closely with our customers (business, software vendors and partners). Within the team, you will be responsible for managing the development and implementation of test strategies that optimise the organisation's current testing environments for maintenance, enhancement and replacement of existing systems.
Your Role
Deliver end-to-end solutions covering all aspects of testing including functional and non-functional testing, system and integration, usability and user acceptance. Be a member of the team dealing with the testing lifecycle within an agile and waterfall development approach, including User Acceptance Testing and Operational Acceptance Testing
Your duties & responsibilities
- Overseeing the continual improvement of the testing service.
- Leading the delivery and implementation of consistent test methodologies, disciplines and processes using best practices across assigned lines of business.
- Responsibility for people management of all individuals assigned to the testing team including performance appraisals and personal development planning.
- Periodic reporting of Test Environment status for all projects under management.
- Engaging external suppliers to meet Test Environments.
- Develop the overall Automation strategy across the enterprise and execution of Automation strategies at all levels.
- Ensuring the overall quality and functionality of software applications by combining various testing methodologies and techniques.
Your knowledge and skills:
- Minimum 10+ years of commercial IT experience, with at least 5 years’ experience in leadership capacity, coupled with relevant tertiary qualifications.
- Must have empathetic leadership ability with uncompromising focus on results.
- Strong Policy and Billing experience, Duck Creek experience is preferred.
- Extensive knowledge and demonstrated ability with testing analysis and execution for insurance applications.
- Good understanding of performance testing practices is required.
- Ability to understand data models, integration designs and work with developers and business analysts in the resolution of defects in a timely manner.
