  • Permanent, Part time (0.8 FTE)
  • Family Life Office (Frankston and Sandringham)/ Good Shepherd Office (Hastings)
  • SCHADS Level 6, $104,605 (plus super and salary packaging)

Role Purpose

Based at Family Life in Frankston with a multi-agency, multidisciplinary team of practitioners, this role will work flexibly across a range of service delivery sites in accordance with accountability and compliance standards, including the provision of outreach support to ensure service accessibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide intake and initial assessment to clients using a range of clinical assessment tools, including comprehensive family violence risk assessment.
  • Maintaining an active holding relationship with women and children engaged with S2S until allocation to a clinician – this includes ongoing risk assessment and ensuring safety plans are current.
  • Carrying and managing a caseload; providing a range of interventions including outreach support.
  • Identify when there is increased risk for clients in the S2S ‘holding’ phase, following MARAM adherent process and consulting with the Team Leader.
  • Maintaining professional documentation and administrative systems according to program and legislative requirements, including planning and documentation of group and education programs.

About you

  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology or related tertiary discipline and experience in intake, assessment and delivery of Therapeutic Interventions for victims of Family Violence
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the provision of trauma Informed assessment and Therapeutic Interventions to victim survivors of family violence
  • Working knowledge of family violence and its complexities, including an understanding of feminist theory and family violence practice and the gendered nature of violence.
  • Demonstrated experience in comprehensive risk assessment using the MARAM framework.
  • Registration with an appropriate professional body e.g. AASW is highly desirable
