About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Therapeutic Practitioner! You will monitor quality early intervention and prevention parenting programs across diverse communities experiencing vulnerabilities.
What is the CaPSS program?
CaPSS is an Australian Government Family and Communities (Department of Social Services) program aimed at supporting families building capacity to improve wellbeing. This program seeks to build protective factors to prevent family conflict and breakdown.
Responsibilities include
Establish partnerships with stakeholders in Melton and Brimbank, including Maternal & Child Health Services
Attend relevant networking meetings and oversee all networking meetings attended by all staff
Assist team leader with day-to-day operations of the program
Provide secondary consults to practitioners regarding children with particular focus on risk and trauma
Provid ongoing education and training to staff that is child focused
Support practitioners to develop new evidence-based parenting workshops and webinars based on feedback from the community
Ensure practitioners follow case management procedure and case note policy to high standard
This is a permanent part-time position, 26.6 hours per week, based in Sunshine, VIC. Salary and conditions are in accordance with SCHADS Level 6 Award.
What you will have
Degree qualification in Social Work, Welfare, Community Development or related field OR
Demonstrated high level of sector knowledge and skills attained through previous appointments, service and study/development
Relevant experience in Social Service environment
Relevant experience in supervising staff
