Hilton Manufacturing is a family-owned business and is recognized as the foremost component manufacturer to the Trucking Industry, Defence Force, and Caravan industries providing services to all Australian Truck O.E.M.s and is the preferred supplier to Iveco, Mercedes, Kenworth, Volvo, MACK and Western Star. The company is also a preferred supplier to Defence and Caravan industries supplying all metal components including chassis, door frames and bumper bars. Hilton Manufacturing also supplies all of the Australian truck companies with aftermarket products.

We are seeking a Toolmaker for the manufacture of in-house/fit for function Press tools, jigs, fixtures, and one-off components. 

Ideal candidates should be fully conversant with all manual toolroom machinery, and engineering drawings.

Excellent communication skills are vital as is the ability to work with minimum supervision. A commitment to safety and OH&S standards is paramount.

Key Accountabilities

• Toolmaker required for in-house Press tools, Jigs, Fixtures, gauges and one off/prototype components
• Must be able to use all manual toolroom machines and hand tools.
• Experience in accurately reading engineering drawings.
• Ability to work well under pressure as part of team.
• Able to think outside the box and be innovative and solution focused.
• Liaise with internal departments.
• Ensure Safety and OH&S standards are implemented, maintained, and improved

Qualifications and Experience 

• Experienced in Press Tool manufacture/maintenance & Jigs and fixtures.
• Excellent communication skills - Written, verbal & Interpersonal Skills
• A positive attitude to learning and a strong work ethic
• Demonstrated commitment to safety in the workplace
• Welding experience - (Desirable)
• Forklift License – (Desirable)
