KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
We are looking for energetic Camp Manager (Coordinator) coordination roles in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. Working with an international team based in Singapore and the Philippines, you are responsible for the execution of our Public Speaking, Environment and Business and Startup camps which will take place this June-July in multiple cities across Australia. Specifically, you will be responsible for the following areas.
Location: Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane
During Camp Responsibilities:
- Work with our student camp groups in Adelaide, Perth, Melbourne and Sydney for 1, 2, 3 week assignments.
- Organize welcome games and team building activities for Students and farewell ceremonies.
- Check in with the group leader daily and make sure students and the group's needs are attended to.
- Take student group on afternoon city tour sightseeing trips.
- Organize sport activities on campus and on the beach.
- Coordinate with local accommodation providers, university partners.
- Option to stay overnight on University Campus where the programme is taking place. In that case, accommodation and 3 meals/day will be provided.
Programme Administration Tasks:
- Programme admin tasks include purchasing museum/zoo tickets and train cards and stationery.
- Coordinate with private coach companies for airport pick up and drop off in the city where programme is taking place.
REQUIREMENT
- Candidates with strong local knowledge of the city where the camp takes place and the right to work in Australia.
- An extraverted personality, with a willingness and capacity to extend themselves and embrace new challenges such as leading group dancing and conducting team building activities, and sports
- Ability to manage Student Groups and command their attention
- Enjoy working with teenagers and young students
- Computer literate and proven competence in administration
- Flexible, adaptable and solutions focused
- Effective communicator with a well-projected voice
- Experience in coordinating study groups including managing camps operation, airport pick up, ground transport, training volunteers, and accompanying groups on excursions
- Approaches work with a flexible ‘can-do’ attitude.
- A current First Aid certificate including CPR (recommended)
- Working with children check
