Our Bus Driver is guests’ first contact on an Outback Pioneers experience and needs to be able to set the scene with excellent people skills as well as ensuring an efficient and safe coach journey.
Along with transporting guests and keeping your logbook and space up to date you'll also find yourself serving up a smoko during the day or serving guests a hearty beef stew and mash at our riverside camp in the evening. With that in mind this is an ideal role for someone with experience of being a driver and guide on tourist vehicles or with the ability to be an excellent host and part of a memorable experience for our guests.
Core competencies:
- Proven ability in a similar role
- Strong people skills and public-facing presentation skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of all operational and safety requirements for passenger vehicles.
- Attention to detail and operational systems.
Qualifications and experience
- HR driver’s license and Passenger Authorization
- Experience driving a passenger or tourist vehicle
- Current first-aid certificate
Working Hours:
Approximately 30-40 hours during the April-October peak season. This can include weekend tours and evening rail / airport pickups. Typically there is high demand during the peak months of June-September.
