The Tourism Officer will support the Marketing and Communications team and contribute to the success of the department. Working closely with all members of the team (Manager, Media, Corporate and Internal Communications and Digital Marketing Officers), the Tourism Officer will develop skills in many areas of the organisation. They will be joining a busy team of professionals who work hard but have fun doing it.
The Tourism Officer will assist in the development and execution of tourism initiatives that encourage visitation to the Mint, and assist in the development of promotional campaigns that promote the Mint’s public programs and temporary exhibitions.
The successful applicant is required to work full-time and on-site.
The duties of this position include:
1. Managing coordination of public enquiries as well as liaising with appropriate departments for information, drafting responses and keeping customer enquiry tracker up to date.
2. Providing administrative support for the Marketing and Communications team including invoicing, minute taking, relevant tasks and project work and general administrative duties.
3. Responsible for lighting and copyright requests received. Assessing applications, liaising with organisations and scheduling lighting with Mint departments.
4. Contributing to the planning, development, execution and evaluation of tourism and marketing campaigns including promotion of events and exhibitions, development of promotional material and content.
5. Producing coin release event communication plans for social media, electronic direct marketing and website.
6. Undertaking relevant marketing research to stay on top of trends, and assisting other team members on coin release days.
