About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and people focussed relationship and operations manager to join the iptiQ ANZ team.
You will demonstrate outstanding people management skills to lead a cross-functional team of three within the Operations Assurance Team, and effectively manage iptiQ's strategic external relationships.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Accountable for high-quality and timely delivery of the Operations Assurance function remit, including Annual TPA (Third Party Administrators) reviews, quality assurance, internal dispute resolution, and customer remediation;
Responsible for managing the relationship and performance of external service providers;
Proactively manage strategic relationships with TPAs, including operating as the first point of escalation for the broader iptiQ ANZ team;
Identify and proactively manage emerging trends, risks, issues, and opportunities on the in-force portfolio;
Operate as a collaborative and consultative member of the Operations, Claims & Underwriting extended leadership team;
Work closely with the iptiQ ANZ leadership team on a variety of matters involving the TPAs;
Maintain a broad understanding of key activities and priorities across the iptiQ ANZ division;
Role model iptiQ's culture behaviours and Swiss Re's leadership imperatives;
Ensure ongoing compliance with external obligations;
Maintain a working knowledge of the individual life insurance market; and
Represent iptiQ ANZ on relevant industry working groups and submissions, as required.
About the Team
The Operations Assurance team is a cross-functional team, responsible for managing and providing assurance to the business on the arrangements we have in place with two TPAs.
Responsibilities of the Operations Assurance team include strategic relationship management of TPAs and external service providers, TPA oversight through monitoring and supervision activities, governance activities, call monitoring and quality assurance, portfolio policy administration, and customer remediation activities.
About You
10 years' experience managing external relationships;
10 years' experience in people leadership roles;
Demonstrated people leadership skills, including elevated negotiation and influencing skills;
Tertiary qualification in business administration (or similar);
Working knowledge and understanding of the Australian life insurance environment; and
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills with the ability to work individually and as part of a team.
