About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Team Leader to join our Regional Assets, Track team located at our Cloncurry depot.
As the Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of a team of Trackworkers. You’ll use your people skills to make sure all aspects of work is carried out safely and efficiently.
This position is constantly in the field so you must be able to work in challenging weather conditions and high temperatures.
In this role you will:
Ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and safely
Supervise the daily operations of assigned workgroups
Ensure all plant and equipment receive regular servicing and maintenance
Liaise with the Track Maintenance Supervisor regarding daily work requirements
Assist tradespeople in providing mechanical maintenance support for machines as needed
Perform administrative and record-keeping duties
About you
Based within the local area and able to travel and work throughout regional Queensland
Experienced in track maintenance or construction activities and work planning
Leadership, people management and negotiation skills
Problem solving and quality improvement skills
Open drivers licence - essential
