For a motivated candidate, this role comes with the option to commence Certificate III Engineering – Heavy Duty Fabrication/Welding in 2025. This is full-time permanent position.

What do we do?
Bend-tech Group make maintenance on-site safe, efficient, and easy. We work closely with those in the Resource Industry along with Manufacturing, Rail, Government, Maritime and Defence to design, engineer and manufacture certified product to meet requirement. Our steel solutions widely range from workshop items such as 2T-150T stands, heavy duty work benches, structural steel racks and access platforms to large, specialised access/work platforms, heavy duty transport/storage frames as well as most general fabrication. With our sales consultants being in touch with our customers onsite we are able to capture the needs of the markets giving our fabricators a great sense of achievement.

About You
The successful applicant will have the following skills and attributes:
- Self-starting – happy to take initiative and ownership of tasks
- Physically fit
- Good Problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Means of getting to Welshpool and TAFE (as required)
- Forklift License (High Risk Work Licence) is desirable (will accept ability to get licence (ie. 18+)
- Maintain a clean and hazard free workspace to support our culture
- Flexibility to suit shifting demand (over time, etc.) (desirable)
Your Duties
- Assist boilermaker welders in the welding/ fabrication process
- Cut, roll, shape, and bend metal and aluminium parts or sub-assemblies
- Assemble parts by welding, bolting, or riveting
- Use of computer with E drawings
- Finish products by cleaning, filing, or grinding
- Ensure the work area, tooling, and equipment is clean, tidy, safe, and ready for use
- Aid with material handling (ie. forklift, crane, general labouring)
- Follow and align with TAFE training plan provided (as required)
