We require a trades assistant for a company that services, calibrates and repairs a range of test equipment for a host of ever-expanding industries including, telecommunication, medical, aviation and military. This role is suitable for a school leaver and requires an enthusiastic and passionate individual, who has a willingness to learn and an eye on a career in the laboratory. Training will be provided and the opportunity to work with a young dynamic team of technicians and to work in a world-class facility.
Position responsibilities include:
- Performing general laboratory administration and logistics tasks, including moving assets between departments and ensuring outgoing assets are clean and have appropriate calibration labels etc.
- Assisting with the service, calibration and repair of Electrical DC/LF, RF, Optical, mechanical, dimensional and Copper test instrumentation
- Other laboratory tasks as delegated by the Laboratory Manager
- Delivering service to company KPI’s and QA
- Participation in our mobile service program
- Maintenance of our internal and customers fleet of equipment
- Compliance with our requirements for operating a metrology laboratory
- Maintenance and calibration of internal equipment
- Interstate and overseas travel as required to service customers’ requirements
- Assisting with customer care and logistic staff
- Assisting with processing of incoming goods
