Leading global provider of high-quality cement and specialized waterproofing materials operating for more than 70 years. They are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Trade Manager to join their growing team.About the Role:
Your responsiblities will include but are not limited to:
- Building and maintaining trusted relationships with customers
- Performing toolbox talks with premix, precast and applicator specialists
- Attending and assisting batching plants
- Maintaining and managing relationships with existing Customers (Premix Precast)
- Warehouse delivery scheduling
- Identifying opportunities and secure new customers
- Onsite inspections
- Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and OH&S procedures
- Participating in professional events
- Communicate all operating policies and/or issues at department meetings
- Work closely with the inventory manager and team to perform analysis of our inventory and ensure we are utilizing our inventory effectively, purchasing the right equipment and maintaining solid inventory data
- Managing distributors/trade/customer/warranties/troubleshooting
- Managing factory operators
- Serve as primary point of contact when there are customer issues related to equipment quality, customer service, or accidents and mishaps on-site. In particular, this includes any issues on-site at client facilities
- Communicate customer issues with operations team and devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints
- Travel to remote Regions
- Interstate travel – when required
To be successful in this position, you must have:
- Prior 3-5 years of experience within the concrete industry
- Understanding of mix designs
- Strong leadership standards and qualities
- Conflict management experience
- Proven ability to develop new business and go above and beyond for an existing customer base.
- Be able to read and analyse working drawings
- Have an extremely strong work ethic and a 'never give up' attitude;
- Be able to use Microsoft Office and associated programs
- Possess a clean driving record & valid driving license
- Self-driven, organised and a willingness to learn.
- Be comfortable with the use of new technology and have an eye for detail
- Have a strong desire to learn, be challenged
- Be a team player 100% of the time.
