Trade Marks Senior Associate / Special Counsel

Work directly with an industry leading Partner on high-profile trade mark matters at a leading Tier 1 firm. 5+ PAE (MEL)

ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role, you will work in an esteemed Dispute Resolution team. Collaborating closely with an industry leading Partner, your responsibilities will include providing comprehensive advice on Australian trade mark law and portfolio management for leading brands. This encompasses developing search and filing strategies, managing filings across various jurisdictions, handling trade mark prosecution, disputes, appeals, and negotiating related agreements.
ABOUT YOU
You will have:

• A minimum of 5 years of legal experience in local and international trade mark prosecution. Specific experience in due diligence and contentious matters (such as oppositions) is essential
• A passion for Trade Marks law
• Excellent analytical, communication, and research skills
• A strong commitment to client service
• Well-developed relationship management abilities and an ability to foster effective teamwork
• Enthusiasm for participating in business development activities
• Strong project management skills and leadership skills
• Proactivity, and effective time management
