About the role
WesTrac is seeking an experienced Trades Assistant to join our New Machines team at Casula!
Within this role you will work alongside experienced Plant Mechanics, Boilermakers and Auto Electricians to ensure a high quality of output and a safe working environment. You will be involved in; disassembly, cleaning and inspection of CAT equipment, movement/storage of plant and equipment, carrying out minor maintenance and repairs and other miscellaneous tasks.
This position is a great entry point to a career in the heavy industry.
Roster and Remuneration
- Monday to Friday 6:00 am to 4:30 pm
- Starting rates from $32.13 per hour
- Light Vehicle Trade or Machinist Fitter and interest in the heavy industry is desirable
- Fabrication and welding skills (desirable)
- Excellent interpersonal/teamwork and communication skills
- Dedicated commitment to Safety and Quality Assurance
- Able to work competently unsupervised
- Competitive base hourly rate
- 7.5% Location allowance
- 0.5% Product support allowance
