About the role
It's an exciting time to join Senex with the recent announcement that we plan to invest more than A$1 billion in a major expansion of our Atlas and Roma North natural gas assets.
We're on the lookout for a Trading Analyst - Gas Markets to join the action in Brisbane who will be responsible for optimising commercial outcomes with superior communication, negotiation, and operational management working closely with our internal and external partners.
You will be hands-on with the scheduling of Senex's daily gas production into the market and making trading decisions to optimise the value of Senex's gas portfolio daily. Also, in becoming one of our gas market subject matter experts, you will work closely with a broad range of internal stakeholder and support services teams to deliver value outcomes for the business.
With energy being an essential service, this role requires you to work as part of team on 24/7 on-call roster.

About You
Aside from being a great human who works best in a culture that allows your personality to shine, you are also someone who can demonstrate your experience working in a demanding environment with proven capacity to prioritise, multi-task, achieve goals, perform, and always work with a customer-focused approach.
Ideally, you will have a few years of experience working in the exciting world of the Australian energy market in either a trading or an analyst capacity and hold a degree in Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, or Engineering. SQL and Tableau skills are desirable, however not mandatory for the role.
You are someone who stands out for your sharp commercial acumen, analytical mindset, knack for problem-solving, and eagerness to actively contribute to our culture of continuous improvement.
