About the role:

Agricomm Trading have an exciting opportunity for a Shipping, Documentation Co-COORDINATOR AND Analyst role based in our Brisbane office. 

Location: Brisbane     

Salary range: $70,000 +

Role: Full-time

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Reviewing and analysing shipping data to identify patterns, trends, and areas for improvement.
  • Freight bookings, by communicating with suppliers, customers, traders, shipping lines and freight forwarders to meet shipment periods, terms and pricing.
  • Utilizing analytical skills to optimize shipping processes, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency.
  • Managing and organizing shipping all records of shipments, including costs, delivery times, and any discrepancies or issues encountered.
  • Ensuring accuracy and completeness of documentation for compliance with regulations and organizational policies.
  • Implementing data management systems to efficiently handle and store shipping-related information.
  • Developing strategies for data maintenance, retrieval, and archival to support informed decision-making.
  • Offering advice on shipping policies, compliance requirements, and best practices.
  • Collaborating with relevant stakeholders to develop and update policies that align with organizational goals and industry standards.
  • Recommending improvements to shipping and documentation processes to streamline operations.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement changes that enhance overall business efficiency.
  • Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, such as shipping carriers, customs authorities, and logistics partners.
  • Facilitating communication and information exchange to ensure smooth and timely shipping operations.
  • Identifying potential risks in shipping and documentation processes and proposing mitigation strategies.
  • Providing a high level of customer service to our numerous international customers from over 50 countries.
  • Liaise with AQIS and Department of Agriculture water and Environment in Canberra to obtain certificates as required (manual and electronic).
  • Liaise with various embassies, Australian Department of Home Affairs, Australian Business Chamber of Commerce & Australian Arab chamber of Commerce Industry to complete legalization requirements for relevant countries.
  • Provide all necessary documents to Australian Border Protection and Immigration for export compliance purpose.
  • Analysis data to identify and improve supply chain efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Review LC application and advise customers to LC document requirements and liaison with Banks regarding documents and letters of credit.
  • Liaising with clients, transport/courier companies to guarantee adherence to deadlines.

Requirements and Qualifications: 

  • Educational Background: Degree in Supply Chain Management, logistics, or a related field.
  • A minimum of two years' experience in export shipping and/or documentation roles in the meat industry.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in planning and organising tasks with precision.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks effectively and meet tight deadlines.
  • A keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy in all endeavours.
  • Articulate in both written and verbal communication.
  • A tenacious approach to challenges with a knack for resourceful solutions.
  • Exhibit initiative, foreseeing and addressing issues before they arise.
  • A demonstrated ability to swiftly grasp and adapt to new processes and systems.

Skills and Competencies: 

  • Understanding of logistics and transportation regulations.
  • Proficiency in shipping documentation, including bills of lading, customs forms, and export licenses.
  • Strong computer skills, including familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems or similar software to track shipping transactions.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to multitask and handle multiple deadlines simultaneously.
