Job Opportunity: Temporary Traffic Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake Traffic Engineering investigations and report on outcomes and recommended action.
- Provide expedient, accurate and appropriate responses to Council resolutions and public enquiries concerning traffic and parking management issues.
- Coordinate and prepare draft Committee and Council reports, with appropriate recommendations.
- Reply to routine correspondence and communications from the public, organisations and government bodies.
- Project management and supervision of consultants and contractors in undertaking services and/or work.
- Organise traffic surveys, carry out site inspections and prepare concept plans to organise signage, line marking and other minor traffic work.
Requirements:
- Have strong knowledge and understanding of local council policies and procedures.
- This position requires knowledge and familiarity of Traffic Engineering theory and principles.
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- National Criminal History Check
- Working with Children Check
- Proven experience in Traffic Engineering.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
