Job Opportunity: Temporary Traffic Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake Traffic Engineering investigations and report on outcomes and recommended action.
• Provide expedient, accurate and appropriate responses to Council resolutions and public enquiries concerning traffic and parking management issues.
• Coordinate and prepare draft Committee and Council reports, with appropriate recommendations.
• Reply to routine correspondence and communications from the public, organisations and government bodies.
• Project management and supervision of consultants and contractors in undertaking services and/or work.
• Organise traffic surveys, carry out site inspections and prepare concept plans to organise signage, line marking and other minor traffic work.

Requirements:

• Have strong knowledge and understanding of local council policies and procedures.
• This position requires knowledge and familiarity of Traffic Engineering theory and principles.
• Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• National Criminal History Check
• Working with Children Check
• Proven experience in Traffic Engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
