Traffic Engineer

Start immediately and join a dynamic team on an initial 3 month contract. Play an important role in traffic management and projects within the LGA.

ABOUT THE COMPANY. Local Government offer 35 hours per week, Work From Home days, flexible start and finish times, RDO's and stability in contract roles with potential for extension or transition into a permanent role.
ABOUT THE POSITION. As a Traffic Engineer in an initial 3 month contract based in the Eastern Suburbs you will be responsible for assessing Development Applications in relation to traffic and dealing with complex traffic issues, including congestion, road safety and multimodal transportation.
DUTIES.

• Assess traffic impact of Development Applications
• Undertake investigation and preparation of report and estimates regarding traffic matters
• Providing advice to internal and external customers on traffic, transport and parking matters
• Ensuring that requests on traffic matters are processed promptly

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Traffic Engineering or relevant qualifications
• Relevant Civil project exposure such as roads, footpaths etc
• Local Government experience is highly desirable
• Demonstrated knowledge of NSW Road Rules
