Highways Traffic Management is Western Australia's premier supplier of Traffic Management services, servicing major road construction and infrastructure works in Perth and throughout regional WA.
With current and upcoming contracts we are actively looking for a Foreperson/Supervisor experienced in Traffic Management.
The role is characterized as a front-facing, practical position primarily dedicated to the supervision and management of the safe and compliant delivery of Traffic Management services. This position directly reports to the General Manager and entails direct oversight of all Traffic Management implementers.
The role will require flexibility, regularity and consistency throughout the working hours, across Monday to Sunday, day/night-shift.
Qualifications & experience
- Previous experience in the Traffic Management industry (Highly regarded)
- Currently holds WTM/AWTM tickets
- Australian Drivers license (C & HR/A preferred, and currently Active)
- Construction White Card
- Work in a team environment
- Liaise with Clients on Company’s behalf.
- Pass a medical fitness test.
- Pass a full drug and alcohol test.
- Basic computer skills, with ability to learn new systems.
- Demonstrated capacity to work in a high-changing environment.
- Prior demonstrated experience in supervisory/training others.
- Good communication skills (English Level: Very Well).
Tasks & responsibilities
- Enforcing direction and guidance to Traffic Management implementers, ensuring adherence to safe work practices aligned with company policies, legislative obligations, and industry best practices.
- Facilitate upskilling and training initiatives for on-road staff, fostering continuous improvement in their skills and knowledge.
- Conduct regular site audits to ensure compliance with safety standards and actively promote a robust safety culture within the organization.
- Engage in effective communication with clients and traffic controllers, efficiently managing and resolving on-site issues to maintain operational efficiency.
- Take the lead in incident investigations, utilizing a systematic approach to identify root causes and implement preventive measures.
- Foster an excellent team environment, emphasizing outstanding customer service satisfaction among both internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and nurture strong internal and external client relationships to ensure mutual understanding and satisfaction.
- Conduct drug and alcohol testing in accordance with Company policies.
