We service a wide range of clients from small to medium size businesses, to public and private corporations, with both domestic and international operations and not-for-profit entities. 

The opportunity

We are currently have an opportunity for an audit trainee to join our close-knit team, on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with all phases of the audit engagement from planning and field work, to completion
• Liaising directly with a broad range of clients
• Evaluating and documenting the internal controls of clients
• Reviewing and preparation of financial statements and key documentation
• Preparing audit reports

You will also be involved with:

• Preparation of tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts and companies
• Liaise with the ATO and ASIC on client compliance matters
• Ad hoc client reporting and projects
• Assisting with operational related tasks

The successful applicant will:

• Have a minimum of 1-2 years business services experience in a professional accounting firm.
• Be currently undertaking a relevant tertiary education and working towards CA/CPA membership.
• Knowledgeable and familiar with office applications such as Microsoft Office, Teams.
• Familiar with accounting software MYOB, Xero, Quickbooks, Handisoft, BGL or similar is highly desirable
