Then you should consider joining as a Business Trainee and support our Ballarat Alstonm site and Xtrapolis 2.0 Project team with administrative/clerical tasks across one of Victoria’s major rail project.
This is a great 12 month fixed term vacancy and you’ll be closely working with the Site Project Administrator and gain exposure to other areas such as Project Management, Finance, Facility Management or Environment, Health and Safety (EHS). 
Although this is full-time role, flexibility can achieved by doing your practical training of 30 hours across 5 days and do the rest flexibly from home or on site.
 
Key responsibilities include: 
-Collaborate with staff, suppliers & clients to ensure the seamless delivery of defined tasks. 
-Represent Alstom at the front desk by greeting guests, answer or redirect incoming calls/questions and perform other related tasks. 
-Support the purchase order processes by raising Purchase Requests (PR) and Purchase Orders (PO).
-Prepare and contribute to standardised communication (email, letters, minutes/memos, presentations and other documents).
-Maintain up to date documentation in SharePoint and other databases .
-Generate reports and provide standard analysis of statuses etc.
-What we are looking for in you:
-Fluent verbal and written communication skills.
-Natural at making contact with various stakeholders, you thrive by making and maintaining relationships.
-High level of organisational skills, including the ability to plan and follow up.
-Ability to maintain accurate data entry, even during times of urgent demands.
-Strong Computer Skills and affinity to learn MS Office Suite, in particular Excel and databases and/or software and tools.
-A proactive and hands-on mindset to drive results.
-Previous experience in a customer service environment such as hospitality or retail are nice to have but required.
-Interest in Project and Site Administration and commercial /accounting aspects.
