Milling both conventional and certified organic grains, Laucke have a special focus on human health and the unique properties of individual grain varieties.
About the Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for the right candidate with a diverse and challenging role as a Flour Miller (trainee). Initially the role will consist of working in all areas associated with the mill to gain a solid understanding of the process, after which formal training will commence within the mill.
Ongoing coaching and on the job training will be provided for the successful candidate to be trained in the daily operation of our flour mill, and they will be required to undertake an accredited flour milling training course.

About you:
We are looking for someone who is driven, capable and keen to learn with a ‘can-do’ attitude. A genuine interest in food production and/or agriculture will be highly regarded. You need to be willing to undertake a thorough induction process and structured training program.
The following qualities and skills would be advantageous:
- Understanding of food hygiene principles
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Willingness to learn
- The ability to work as part of a team
- Strong safety attitude and focus
The position will involve shift work on a rotating roster and occasional overtime.
