RoleYou will be part of the wider service department, which provides a field service with a focus on support and fault clearance of radio and data terminal equipment. As a trainee, you will learn on the job and be shown every aspect of the role for approx. 6 months, then you will set out on your own with a vehicle.Typically, your day to day responsibilities will include:
- Test, repair and replace telecommunications equipment in vehicles
- Perform quality assurance checks on completed repairs
- Maintain personal stock levels of required items for each service
- Remove, recover and return decommissioned assets
YouIf you're seeking a career change, you're technically sound and like being on the road - this is the role for you.To be considered, you will possess the following:
- Structured wiring and/or automotive DC experience
- Reliable, punctual with a sense of urgency
- Flexible, strong work ethic with a positive attitude
- Knowledge and good practice standards in using manual and electronic hand tools
- Ability and quick to learn new skills and procedures
- You must have a current Victorian manual drivers licence
