This traineeship involves working within a Catholic School Early Childhood Education & Care setting for pre-school, after school, and school holiday care arrangements.

What would this involve?
- You would be employed by Work & Training for the duration of your training contract.
- Full time hours.
- Full entitlements including four weeks of holidays per year.
- You would receive mentoring and support throughout the traineeship.
- Your workplace supervisors would provide daily coaching and opportunity for growth.
Gain valuable experience on the job:
- Conducting indoor and outdoor activities with the children.
- Liaising with parents regarding each child's care requirements, and providing a reflection of the day.
- Working as part of a dedicated team of carers.
Desired skills and attributes:
- Prior customer service skills an advantage.
- A passion for working within the childcare sector.
- Previous baby sitting or childcare experience.
- High level literacy and numeracy skills – aptitude tests will be undertaken as part of the recruitment process.
- A Certificate II VET qualification in this area.
- A desire to obtain a Nationally recognised Certificate III in Early Childhood Education & Care.
Essential:
- A Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People licence must be obtained.
