Under new Management, our Workforce Training Centre WA is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) that provides training and assessment services for a range of business and operational skills courses to companies and members of the public who are, or who wish to be, employed within the resources, infrastructure, construction, and transport industries.
Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking Trainer and Assessors to join our Kewdale Training Centre. Positions are offered either on a full-time permanent, or casual employment basis.
THE ROLE
As a Trainer and Assessor, you will be responsible for delivering and assessing a range of accredited and non-accredited training courses, programs and training packages for the Resources, Mining, and Infrastructure sectors. Duties include:
- Delivering a range of training to new and experiences students including, but not limited to:
- Scaffolding
- Rigging
- Confined spaces
- Gas test atmosphere
- Work safely at Heights
- Basic Fire
- Engaging and mentoring of students
- Creating and maintaining student records
- Design and evaluate courses, programs, assessment tools and processes
ABOUT YOU
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Experience in similar role performing high-risk work tasks, if possible, within an RTO environment
- Certificate IV Training and Assessment or able to meet able to meet ASQA requirements which includes Diploma or higher-level qualification in higher education or Assessor Skills set
- Experience delivering Confined spaces/Gas test atmosphere/Work safely at Heights
- Experience delivering Scaffold/Rigging training is highly desirable
- Sound knowledge of industry training requirements, including current legislation
