About the role
The role is located within our CBD campus overlooking the blue waters of the iconic Swan River. The key requirement of the role of a Trainer and Assessor is to successfully enhance the learning experience of students through the skills transfer of both theoretical and practical skills and knowledge. The practical workshops that are facilitated by the trainers and Assessors are timetabled in a simulated clinic environment and include demonstrations of Remedial Massage techniques that support quality training and assessment delivery outcomes.
You will be expected to bring your best practice industry skills into the workshops to help inspire and shape the industry by training and assessing the next generation of massage therapists.

Key Responsibilities:
Deliver training and assessment within the classroom, student clinic and online learning environment with a focus on student engagement, progression and completion outcomes.
Mentor students by demonstrating your skills and knowledge relating to the Remedial Massage industry.
Monitor student attendance and progression by providing constructive and timely feedback to students.
Ensure students undertake acceptable safety and sustainability procedures within the training and assessment environment.
Undertake administration duties associated with student management and record-keeping.
Be enthusiastic, have high energy focus and build effective working relationships with students to enhance the student journey.
Participate in team meetings to reflect on progress, improve performance and the productivity of the team.
Participate in validation and moderation activities when required.
Participate in relevant professional development to develop and maintain currency of personal and professional skills, knowledge and attitudes. This will help to maintain your outside passion and roles to ensure your knowledge and technical expertise is always at the forefront of the industry.
About you
Either hold the HLT52021 Diploma of Remedial Massage or demonstrate equivalent industry experience in the field of massage therapy.
Hold current TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent. Preferred but not essential.
Experience with Moodle or other Learning Management Systems (LMS) would be highly regarded, but not essential.
Maintain a current HLTAID003 Apply First Aid unit.
Maintain a current Working with Children Check.
Complete a Trainer Matrix and Trainer Summary template to demonstrate vocational competence to deliver training/assessment. Guidance is given.
You are well presented, self-motivated and proactive.
Excellent presentation skills, including a positive and professional work manner.
Must have excellent time management and ability to work independently.
Team focused and the ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines and work accurately
Genuine desire to assist people to reach their career goals
