Trainer and Assessor - Remedial Massage

The role of an Evolve College professional educator is to enhance the educative process, engage with students and provide quality training and assessment services in the HLT52015 Diploma of Remedial Massage and HLT42015 Certificate IV in Massage Therapy. You will bring your core industry skills into the classroom, inspire the next generation of therapists and shape the future of the industry.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver and facilitate training in HLT52015 Diploma of Remedial Massage and HLT42015 Certificate IV in Massage Therapy.
- Display teaching competence and a commitment to a student-centred approach.
- Lead and manage effective teaching and learning within the classroom, student clinic and online learning environments with a focus on student engagement, progression and success. Participate in validation and moderation activities relating to those processes.
- Deliver lessons, learning and assessment processes and tools as provided by the College.
- Monitor student attendance and progression, facilitating access to educational support and providing effective feedback and advice and ensure that students adopt and practise accepted safety procedures and sustainability in the learning and assessment environment.
- Undertake administration duties associated with student management and record-keeping
- Develop effective working relationships with students and staff by participating in team meetings, student events and inviting feedback and engaging in reflection.
- Contribute to planning, implementation and review of educational programs.
- Participate in relevant professional development as per Evolve College direction across prescribed areas (massage industry, VET and training and assessment) to develop and maintain currency of personal and professional skills, knowledge and attitudes
Position Requirements
Successful applicants will:
- Hold the current HLT52015 Diploma of Remedial Massage or equivalent
- Have current industry experience as a Remedial Massage Therapist
- Hold current TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or the TAE40110 (plus including TAEASS502 and TAELLN411)
- Maintain a current HLTAID003 Apply First Aid unit
- Maintain a current Working with Children Check
- Complete a Trainer Matrix and Trainer Summary template to demonstrate vocational competence to deliver training/assessment.
Salary: Trainers/Assessors are employed under the Educational Services (Post-Secondary Education) Award. Evolve College pays well above the award rate. Hourly casual rate of between $35 and $60 p/hr will apply dependent on position.
