The College is currently seeking experienced and qualified trainers and assessors for;
Certificate II in Hospitality
We we deliver classes at our sites in Epping, Chatswood, Blacktown and Mt Druitt as well as and at offsite locations around Sydney.
We are currently looking for full time, part time or casual employment (all will be considered for the suitable applicant) trainer/assessors to undertake a variety of tasks including face to face training, workplace assessment, traineeship support and remote assessment.
While we endeavour to offer training close to our trainers home this role will at times require the ability to work across our sites and off site locations.
Essential Experience
Trainers will be required to deliver and assess qualifications whilst ensuring that contractual and compliance requirements for the delivery of programs are met in accordance with ASQA.
Successful candidates will need to have the following:
- Recent experience in the hospitality industry
- Relevant qualifications at or above the course level they are delivering a Certificate IV Trainer/Assessor (TAE40116 or equivalent) current Working with Children Check (or be willing to obtain) current National Police Check (or be willing to obtain)
- Drivers licence and reliable car for travel to workplaces across Sydney
Training and assessment experience in the VET sector is desirable however consideration will be given to applicants with other experience provided they can demonstrate an ability to engage students from a range of diverse backgrounds.
We are keen to add RSA and RCG to our course offering so looking for trainers with the qualifications and experience to be able to deliver these units. Registration or willingness to be registered with OLG would be highly regarded.
As well as the required qualification and experience we are looking for skills to engage people from non-English speaking backgrounds and those facing barriers to employment. We want trainers that have a genuine passion for assisting students on pathways to sustainable employment and the ability to be flexible to the unique needs of our students.
