Trainer Assessor - Mining Sector

A Trainer Assessor with solid Mining Equipment experience is required by Piacentini & Son for an 8:6 roster onsite at Jacinth Ambrosia, South Australia. FIFO from Adelaide. 

Piacentini & Son is a Mining and Earthmoving Contractor specialising in bulk earthworks, rehabilitation services, dry hire equipment, sales, heavy haulage transportation, mining and earthmoving services.

We are currently seeking a Qualified Trainer Assessor with proven practical experience operating heavy earthmoving equipment as an all-rounder in an open cut environment to join our team. 

This position will work closely with the onsite Production Supervisors and report directly to the Project Manager. Solid knowledge of Excavators / Loaders / Dump Trucks / Dozers / Graders / Water Carts is highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure employees are trained, assessed and compliant in accordance with site Training Needs Analysis and Training Management Plan.
• Ensuring all personnel have access to training and inductions when required to meet legal and site competency requirements.
• Ensure all training documentation is accurately completed and entered 
• Manage assessment, reassessment and refresher training across site.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience as a Trainer/ Assessor in a similar role
• Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or above
• Proven experience operating as an all-rounder in an open cut environment including production digging and dozing
• The ability to mentor and train others with respect
• Display a clear commitment and focus on the health, safety and well-being of employees.
• You must have working rights in Australia
