We are currently seeking a qualified Electrical Trainer Assessor holding a current WA Electrical license to join our team for a 12-month project within one of our major clients in mining. This is an exciting development opportunity to build presentation and communication skills along with upskilling site personnel for requiring Electrical and High-Risk training.
About the role
Roster - 5/2 Newman Residential or 5/2, 4/3 FIFO
Required Qualifications & Licences:
- Current WA Electrical Workers License.
- Current and valid High Risk Work Licences for - Forklift, Elevated Work Platform, Dogging and Basic Rigging.
- Current Work Safely at Heights unit of competency.
- Valid and current 'C' class driver's licence.
Desired Qualifications & Licences:
Hold the minimum level Nationally Recognised skill set or Certification in Assessing. Either;
- Enterprise Assessor Skill Set,
- Assessor Skill set, or
- Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessing
- Have an up-to-date Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment - preferably the TAE40116 or TAE40122
- Experience as a Trainer Assessor within the resources sector
Skills & Experience
- Relevant Fixed Plant Maintenance experience.
- Site-based mining experience applying your skills in Fixed Plant maintenance.
- A passion for delivering your technical expertise to others in an engaging and professional way.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritise tasks and work
- Presentation and communication skills with a proven ability to build relationships and facilitate presentations.
- Interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively coach to improve performance and upskill.
Secondment Objectives
- Use your experience in Fixed Plant maintenance to deliver competency-based training materials to individuals or groups.
- Conduct Verification of Competencies for specific equipment and/or HRWLs to ensure new team members are competent and authorised to work.
- Review performance and implement training in line with business drivers.
- Contribute to the design of training plans and support colleagues close any training gaps.
- Ensure training materials are maintained in line with business and industry standards.
- Ensure team members are adequately skilled and are available across all shifts to ensure safe and effective execution of work.
- Work with team members to support upskilling and career progression.
- Coach and mentor team members on how to identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions relating to standardised work.
