The EHST Training Advisor provides expert creation and execution of training and development for drill crew to meet Company, Client & Regulatory obligations and safety standards. This position will continuously improve the effectiveness of training systems, with the aims of enhancing safety outcomes and increasing productivity. Further, this role guides and consults with internal stakeholders, especially site crew and operational teams, in continuing to use best practices and ensure operational compliance.
Want to know a little more about the role? Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Conduct systematic reviews of the training and competency needs (TNA) of stakeholders.
- Design training programs to optimise training content fulfilling internal and regulatory compliance requirements and all operational business needs.
- Create assessments and ratings systems to ensure competency requirements are met.
- Administer BLY’s Learning Management Systems to ensure content is suitably formatted, correctly sequenced, and deployed appropriately.
- Deliver professional development training to Field Trainers, EHST staff, and operational staff as required.
- Assisting all employees in understanding and fulfilling their EHST role, responsibilities and regulatory compliance obligations.
- Review and ensure compliance of operational Training Matrix and ensure compliance with BLY’s, Client and other stakeholder requirements.
A few other things we’re looking for:
- Hold a current Cert IV in Training and Assessment.
- Relevant work experience in Occupational Health & Safety Training
- Experience in working across the resource industry & related sectors (desirable).
- A proven ability to organise and manage competing demands and priorities.
- Analytical thinking with the ability to interpret data, initiate recommendations for improvement and undertake projects to enhance outcomes long term.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Advanced computer skills.
- Current Driver’s Licence.
- Ability to provide a current National Police Clearance.
- Belief in making safety personal
