Role Overview:
As a Training Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating the delivery of the mine’s training programs and assisting the Training Superintendent in the application of site training systems, record management and training and development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and communication skills while engaging with a diverse array of stakeholders across various levels within the organisation.
Display a thorough understanding of the national training and qualification framework, occupational licenses, and registered training organisations, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations.
Guarantee comprehension and adherence to the site Training Scheme and the Safety and Health Management System (SHMS) to maintain a safe and compliant working environment.
Manage and enhance the Learning Management System (LMS), including platforms such as Mobilise Me and Damstra EPP, to optimize training processes and efficiency.
Offer expert training advice and coaching to operational departments, ensuring that training initiatives align with organizational objectives and industry standards.
Facilitate safety interactions, spearhead safety initiatives, and actively participate in industry best practice reviews to continuously improve safety protocols.
Ensure compliance with personal and company obligations under the Coal Mining Safety & Health Act and Regulation.
Demonstrate proficiency in reviewing and constructing assessments and development training plans tailored to the site's specific needs and objectives, fostering continuous learning and improvement among employees.
Qualifications:
Certificate or Qualification relevant to Training and Assessment
Proven track record in Training and Assessment across various departments in coal mining.
Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
Experience with building e-learning activities and courses for the LMS
Demonstrate good time management skills and have a strong work ethic
Hold a good understanding of Recognised Standard 11 Training in Coal Mines
