About the Opportunity
Join our team as a Training and Compliance Officer, where you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering training programs for Mobile Road Safety Camera Operators (MRSCO) staff, ensuring compliance with Victoria Police policies and procedures. This training program spans across 12 days and will include both theory and practical components with exams. The successful candidate will need to undergo and pass the training program to become certified.
The compliance aspect of the role will require you to participate in an On Call roster as the On Call Manager, providing support to MRSCOs over the phone. Rostered shifts are Mon-Fri (12am-8am OR 5pm-12am) 3 times per month and one weekend shift (12am-12pm OR 12pm-12am) per month. The On Call component is done off-site where you’ll act, respond, and provide advice in a consistent manner to MRSCOs in line with Serco’s Policies and Procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Developing training collateral and conducting training courses for Camera Operations employees
- Collaborating with the Learning & Compliance team to create resources for the induction and ongoing training of new camera operations staff
- Supporting the delivery of compliant camera sessions by conducting audits and mentoring performance of MRSCOs within the region
- Maintaining and updating documentation including policies, procedures, work instructions, and forms
About you
You’re a motivated and resourceful individual with experience delivering training programs. To be considered for the role, you’ll need to hold or be working towards a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment.
You’ll also need:
- Valid Victorian Driver’s License
- Knowledge or understanding of government road safety initiatives and current Victorian Road Rules
- Experience in a similar role training small to medium sized groups (10-15 per course)
- Ability to adapt teaching techniques in accordance to individual needs
