As a key member of our small yet vital Risk, Governance, and Compliance Team, you will proactively engage and collaborate in a second-line capacity with stakeholders across all areas of the business. Providing hands-on support and guidance, you will play a crucial role in fostering a robust culture of risk and compliance awareness and driving the implementation of related activities.
Being a proactive and solution-focused individual with keen attention to detail, your meticulous oversight and vigilant monitoring across all aspects of your role will be instrumental in advancing our collective efforts to integrate our risk and compliance frameworks throughout the organisation.
Examples of some key accountabilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Partnering with subject matter experts across all areas of the business to support the development, maintenance, and implementation of fit-for-purpose policies and procedures.
- Maintaining, enhancing, and acting as the custodian for risk and compliance registers, document stores, and relevant working spaces.
- Supporting the development of internal controls and strengthening risk mitigation and compliance practices across the organisation.
- Triaging and proactively responding to business queries regarding risk and compliance matters, including breaches, and other related issues.
- Communicating, reporting, and presenting on Risk & Compliance-related tasks via multiple mediums.
- Assisting in the development, preparation, and facilitation of employee training.
What you will be able to demonstrate:
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role, leading risk and compliance activities.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and experience or a combination of education and work experience.
- Comprehensive understanding of, and the ability to analyse and interpret, risk and compliance principles, best practices, and frameworks.
- Outstanding stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
- Capability to raise awareness and drive change.
- Significant critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, effectively manage your time, and evaluate/address shifting priorities and conflicting deadlines.
- Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks and deliverables
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills, including interpersonal skills.
